by Bradley Joel Nordgren Visit Date:May 21, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The room was a bit on the rustic side. The location was close to the old part of the city, and the night markets, although somewhat hidden in the small back streets. The service was very good and the staff was very accomodating. Overall I would give it a good rating." |

by Lim Sei Wei Visit Date:July 24, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Small boutique hotel and nice Lanna ambience and gardening. It was nice to wake up with birds chirping. The room was nice space. The shower was leaking and spraying everywhere but it was resolved as soon as I reported to the reception. The food quality at the hotel restaurant was good. The location takes quite a distant walk to Night Bazaar or other tourist attraction. Somehow I felt that this small boutique hotel lacks of personal touch. I was surprised that the staff including reception and restaurant didn t greet us with Thai tradition of palms together Sa-wa-dee-kup . Not that they re not friendly, it s just that if they can deliver Thai tradition, on top of that, with initiative and observant quality, they could have touch the guests heart and make them keep coming back for their warm hospitality. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
by KT Visit Date:March 10, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Great location and ambience inside the hotel. Within walking distance to the Sunday walking St and Saturday night market is more or less 100 metres away.Rooms were clean however the cement floor in the shower seem a bit dirty (maybe because of the nature of the cement, not sure). Service was very good. Check in procedures were smooth. After being put in a room that was quite noisy as it was facing the street (after specifically asking for a quiet room during the booking), we were moved without any hassles. Free internet was an unexpected bonus.Breakfast included a few simple choices which may become boring after 3 days.Note that the local surroundings are not much to speak of. More or less in a residential areas with the Manathai hotel as a neighbour but we felt safe at all times. Overall, recommended." |

Friendly helpful staff. Room clean. Good location - easy to walk to night market but nice quiet soi. Breakfast on the inclusive rate is bread and fruit but they do a cooked hot breakfast for an extra charge." |
No problems, January 27, 2009 by Nils Sandmann Visit Date:January 14, 2009 "Really nice hotel, a calm green oasis in the city in a perfect location, in walking distance to the night market and city. The rooms are fine, perhaps a bit small and it lacks space for luggage. But the bathroom is very nice. Everything is very clean. The personal is superb, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offers a buffet with croissants, toast, jam and fruits. Additionally you can order several kinds of eggs with bacon, sausage and ham or you can choose an asian breakfast. We absolutely recommend this place. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
Excellent, January 14, 2009 by A Buchanan Visit Date:January 7, 2009 "Excellent boutique hotel with extremely nice and helpful staff. Highly recommended. Difficult to find so make sure you take a map when leaving for sightseeing." |
Really easy & info was 100% on each resort we booked - no hidden surprises!, January 13, 2009 by Catherine Balsdon Visit Date:January 5, 2009 "Banthai Village was the prettiest hotel we stayed at during our trip to Thailand, the only advice I would offer is to request an upstairs room for privacy as you have to keep your curtains closed if you are in your room on the ground floor. Staff were very courteous, rooms were lovely and beautifully decorated. The pool is a bonus too. Also get directions to the hotel written in Thai as is it difficult to find & not too well known. Would definitely recommend it, well situated within walking distance to the Night Market & Taepae Gate." |
