by Richard; UK Visit Date:January 2, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "I stayed for one night for it s proximity to the Haad Rin Queen ferry pier, about 100 meters walk down the road. The room was nothing special, but the staff were friendly and helpful. I payed 1000TB which was a lot in my opinion because Maenam is a pretty dull place to be. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Rob Lorton Visit Date:September 13, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This is Thailand, not UK, so bear this in mind.Room and laundry very clean, and the room was looked after well, daily. Bed v comfortable.Facilities - fridge, air con, shower, toilet, basin all worked fine.Water went off on several occasions but was fixed in not too long.No strong box in the rooms, valuables are left at owners’ risk . *** Money went missing from our locked room two days running *** Not a big amount of money (100 GBP total), but enough to make you wonder if you had counted it correctly. Secure your money or take it with you.Avoid the bar instant coffee.WiFi poor reach & speed, but usable from the bar area.Beach rooms really are on the beach – perfect location. But beware that your balcony isn t so private - visible to everyone at reception via CCTV. Balcony seats nearly worn out.If you are prepared to barter with taxis or the scary pickup chariots, you will get them cheaper than booking via reception (150BHT for 2 people to Chaweng if you barter very hard, and really want to go there).Bangrat resort is much less vibrant than Chaweng, but still has plenty of bars and places to eat within a few minutes walk. I recommend the Fishermans Village at Bophut as a much nicer place to visit, eat, drink and shop (barter hard for a taxi to there, or take a stroll (30 mins or so?) but it’s cheaper to stay in Bangrak.Local flee-bag dogs can be welcoming but a bit of a nuisance. Several of the bars clearly have prostitutes, but they add to the ambience. Several of the bars clearly have older British men looking for a Thai partner. These don t really add to the ambience.Convenient for speedboat to a Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan from one of the local piers directly to Haad Rin.Convenient for local minimart, supermarket, essentials shopping, internet cafes and laundries. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by VICTOR NIKULIN Visit Date:July 27, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Отель нормальный. |
by Karl Rodger Anstee Visit Date:May 16, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Superb value for money! The hotel backs on to a quiet beach and has all the basic s, shower, hot water, air con, T.V, wifi, comfortable bed and good room service every day. I d highly recommend this to young couples or budget travellers looking for a cheap place to stay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

Chaweng Beach. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Harman Visit Date:July 7, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The staff here are very helpful and friendly and go out of their way to help.We had a couple of problems on the first night but these were sorted out quickly. The food is good, and good value.A great place if you have kids, the ladies who worked there kept our 3 year old and one year old entertained for hours!!" |
Enkelt och smärtfritt. Inga problem., July 14, 2010 by Anya Plantin Visit Date:June 28, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Trevligt, litet familjehotell. Chaweng beach. Men helt ok. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

by Monica Magnusson Visit Date:March 2, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Kinnaree is a nice little hotel, the beach is great, very calm and soft sand, only problem in the beach are the dogs, they are everywhere. the hotel is confy and very good value for the money, we stayed 5 nights, a bit boring being used to Chaweng, but great to relax, breakfast is boring:coffe/tea,jam butter toasts and eggs. Tam is great and most of the personal are friendly, 7eleven very close, minimarket just a step away.but not much to do. Tip: go and eat at Secret Garden with John the owner, he is a sweetheart and its always great to find someone who speaks english and knows the area. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Amie Frewen Visit Date:February 13, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The resort is small, clean, quiet and close to restaurants, the Big Buddha Pier (for Kho Phangan) and the airport. The clientele seems to be mostly European retirees. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
